Hickory Hills Tournament Photos

Once again, thanks to Kim Lewis for submitting the following photos from the opening game of the Hickory Hills Tournament:

The Warriors posed for a team photo just prior to the game... Matthias Dietz held Oak Lawn scoreless for the first two innings. Two runs scored in the third inning after two outs when a pop fly landed between three Warriors in short rightfield. Matthias also contributed with his bat--hitting two hard line drives during his first plate appearances... Mike Rafferty is swinging the bat with confidence. He drove in 8 runs in five innings--setting a single game RBI record for the Warriors...
The first three Warriors' runs in the ballgame resulted from Mike Rafferty's three run homer which easily cleared the wall in the left-centerfield power alley. Mike also entered the game in relief in the top of the fourth with the tying run at the plate and held Oak Lawn scoreless for the remainder of the game to earn the save...
Ryan Novak pitched the fourth inning for the Warriors. He threw strikes, but the defense failed to provide him with much support in this one...
The Warriors ran the bases aggressively throughout the game. Jayson Lenzen played his first game since returning to the Warriors and scored on this play at the plate...

The following photos were submitted by Ann Bresingham:

Ryan Tannebaum singled to rightfield in the late innings...
Zach Struzik joined the Warriors as an alternate for this game after working out with the team earlier in the week. Zach will fill in whenever the roster size drops too low for a given game...
The team celebrated Mike Rafferty's towering blast over the leftfield fence... Jayson Lenzen had two hits in his first appearance with the 2008 Warriors...
Jack Lebert reviews strategy with his third base coach...
Matthias Dietz...
It's not a good idea to park too close to the outfield fence at the Hickory Hills' field...
